Activated surfaces –
for maximum paint adhesion

Molecule chains in plastic components can be broken up by exposing the surface to a gas flame for a short time. The results of this process, which requires highly sensitive controlling, are activated surfaces which strengthen the varnish layer adhesion. The surface’s contact with the flame is strictly controlled in duration and creates a suitable chemical reaction on the component’s surface. This special type of pretreatment maintains the general flexibility of the plastic despite the high-quality painted, solid surface.
